TERMS OF WARRANTY
AUTOCLAVE
WARRANTY
For all defects of conformity existing at the time of delivery of the unit and attributable to actions or omissions by the manufacturer.
The manufacturer guarantees this product for a period of:
24 months or 2000 cycles - whichever comes first.
The warranty period begins on the date of purchase of the machine by the customer. In the event of any dispute, the purchase date will be determined by documentation valid for tax purposes (invoice, tax receipt or similar) which must contain the name of the seller, the date of delivery, the identification details of the product (serial number and model) and the sales prices.
Warranty Coverage:
Parts: Covered for 24 months.
Labour: Covered for 12 months.
To maintain the warranty, customers must strictly adhere to the following requirements:
1. Installation
◦ The autoclave must be installed in strict compliance with the instructions outlined in the user manual.
2. Usage and Maintenance
◦ All usage and routine maintenance must be carried out as specified in the user manual. This includes regular cleaning, proper water quality management, and adherence to recommended operating procedures.
3. Water Quality Requirements
◦ Only distilled water with less than 10 ppm total dissolved solids (TDS) may be used in the autoclave. Use of tap water, poorly filtered water or water exceeding 10 ppm TDS may cause scale build-up, blockages and premature failure, and will void the warranty.
4. Service Schedule Compliance
◦ The autoclave must be serviced by an authorised ProMedCo technician at 1,000-cycle intervals, in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommended service schedule to maintain optimal functionality and prevent avoidable damage or malfunctions. Servicing may be required earlier depending on conditions where the autoclave is kept and the use of the autoclave. Failure to adhere to this service schedule will void the warranty and may result in premature autoclave failure.
5. Annual Validation
◦ The autoclave must be validated every 12 months to ensure compliance with safety and performance standards. Further service calls may be necessary if the unit malfunctions. Failure to validate the autoclave annually will result in the warranty being voided.
6. Repairs
◦ All repairs under warranty must be performed by an authorised ProMedCo service agent, using only genuine ProMedCo spare parts, and must be approved by ProMedCo beforehand. Unauthorised repairs or modifications will immediately void the warranty.
7. Autoclave Load Requirements:
◦ All items placed inside the autoclave must be reusable medical-grade instruments and must be clearly labelled by the manufacturer as suitable for steam sterilisation/autoclaving. The processing of single-use items or items not explicitly marked as autoclavable will void the warranty.
Important: Over-oiling of handpieces can cause excessive oil build-up within the autoclave, leading to premature failure of critical components. Any damage resulting from over-oiling will void the warranty. Customers must follow the manufacturer’s recommended oiling procedures for handpieces to avoid warranty issues.
Exclusions from Warranty Coverage
The warranty does not cover the following:
Damage resulting from moving the steam steriliser.
Defects or malfunctions due to improper installation.
Damage resulting from poor maintenance, neglect or carelessness, over-oiling of instruments, improper water quality, or failure to adhere to the user manual.
Damage caused by unauthorised tampering, repairs, or modifications.
Damage resulting from all other causes not attributable to the manufacturer.
All components subject to normal wear and tear including but not limited to polycarbonate keypad, power switch, drain tubes, seals, trays, filters etc) and other accessories if it cannot be proven that damage is the result of a manufacturing defect.
Costs related to freight, delivery of spare parts, or finished products.
Travel costs exceeding one hour for service technicians.
Warranty Limitations
Customers must notify ProMedCo immediately if the autoclave exhibits any malfunction or defect. Failure to notify promptly may void the warranty.
ProMedCo reserves the right to determine whether to repair or replace any defective component under the warranty.
No compensation is awarded for machine downtime. However, where possible, a loan unit may be offered. In such cases, the customer will be responsible for covering the associated charges.
The warranty is null and void if the autoclave is tampered with, repaired, or modified by unauthorised persons.
Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for maintaining the autoclave according to the user manual and ensuring that the service schedule is followed.
Any issues arising from improper maintenance, non-compliance with the service schedule, or the use of non-genuine parts will void the warranty.
The manufacturer disclaims all liability for any damage or injury caused, directly and/or indirectly, to persons, property, and animals due to failure to observe the general safety conditions and requirements set out in the use instruction manual, in particular concerning the instructions for product installation, use and maintenance.
